Windows is completely updated, along with Office 2016. I did what you recommenced (go to speech settings) but it appears those settings don't affect Office 16. The default setting for speech( e.g. Female voice) were not consistent with what I heard (male voice). Also when I press preview voice in the settings, I don't hear anything.
